Investor from Uzbekistan intends to open agricultural enterprise in Bashkiria

The republican government's press service reported that delegations from Uzbekistan are in Bashkortostan's Bukhara, Namangan, and Karakalpakstan regions.

“At the initiative of the leaders of our countries, a trip was organized for governors, khokims and entrepreneurs of our regions to Bashkortostan. The visit turned out to be quite productive. We agreed on the implementation of mutually beneficial investment programs. This will increase our enterprises' customer base and expand export geography. We also agreed to cooperate in the development of livestock farming and science. We want to open a joint agricultural enterprise in Bashkortostan and engage in farming on 9 thousand hectares. We agreed to sign a corresponding agreement shortly,” said Azamat Sultonov, General Director of Bukhara Agroklaster LLC.

The parties discussed issues of interaction in the agricultural sector. Beekeeping and vegetable processing are the areas that have aroused the most interest. During the negotiations, representatives of Uzbekistan became interested in purchasing Bashkir geese. A preliminary agreement was reached on a trial supply of 10,000 tons of goose meat to Uzbekistan.

In total, 15 companies engaged in the agro-industrial complex, food, engineering, chemical, furniture, and light industries represented Bashkortostan at the negotiations.
