8.1 billion rubles were allocated to agro-industrial complex development state program in Bashkiria

Tatyana Aksyutina

This year, 8.1 billion rubles have been allocated to implement the state program “Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Markets for Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food.” Of these, approximately 40% are from the federal budget, said Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov, speaking at a meeting of the republican government.

“We could provide ourselves with our products in almost all key areas. In addition, the republic retained its leading position in certain agricultural products. Thus, Bashkiria ranks second in the country in beef production and the number of cows and third in milk production and the number of cattle,” noted Andrey Nazarov.

As Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ilshat Fazrakhmanov emphasized at the meeting, farmers harvested fairly good grain and industrial crops despite challenging weather conditions last year. The critical factors in the development of crop production remain the increased use of mineral fertilizers and elite seeds, as well as technical and technological modernization. Thus, in 2023 alone, farmers of Bashkiria purchased approximately 3 thousand units of equipment worth 14.2 billion rubles. This is the highest figure for equipment purchases over the past 20 years.

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said the intensification of the industry and the achievement of the design capacity of new livestock sites made sustainable growth in the commercial production of milk and meat possible.

The volume of investments in fixed capital of the region's agro-industrial complex in 2023 reached 14.3 billion rubles. Last year, 76 priority investment projects worth 107 billion rubles were actively implemented.

State support within the regional program played a good role here, thanks to which, over two years, more than 100 companies upgraded equipment worth 150 million rubles, the Deputy Prime Minister added. According to him, the annual increase in food production volumes helps saturate the domestic market and establish export supplies outside the republic. Today, Bashkiria exports agricultural products to 44 countries around the world. In total, 730 thousand tons of products worth $327 million were shipped in 2023.

Peasant farms significantly contribute to implementing the objectives of the state program. Thanks to implementing programs to support small businesses in the agro-industrial complex, 34 new cooperatives were created in 2023, and 127 SMEs were supported. In total, 456 million rubles of state support were allocated for developing small businesses in 2023, concluded Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
