Four districts have completed sowing sugar beets in Bashkiria
Farmers from four of Bashkiria's 18 beet-growing regions have completed sowing sugar beets. By May 15, the farms of the Alsheevsky, Aurgazinsky, Buzdyaksky, and Kushnarenkovsky districts had completely sown their areas allocated for valuable industrial crops.
The current sowing status of sugar beets in the republic is promising. Over 44 thousand hectares are currently sown, 87% of the plan. This is a significant improvement compared to the same period last year.
The farms of the Sterlitamak and Karmaskalinsky districts sowed more than 80% of the spring wedge.
“Spring sowing in the region is proceeding actively. Farmers are increasing the pace of fieldwork despite difficult weather conditions. By Wednesday, work had been carried out on an area of 986 thousand hectares, which is 49% of the total volume,” the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic informed.
