Over 2 months, Bashkiria’s foreign trade turnover increased by 17.4%

During the first two months of this year, Bashkiria's foreign trade turnover surged impressively by 17.4%, a significant achievement that underscores the region's robust economic performance. This was accompanied by a 12.6% increase in export volumes over the same period. The Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic, Margarita Bolycheva, shared this encouraging news during her speech at a panel session dedicated to regional practices in the field of export activities at the exhibition and forum “Russia” in Moscow, as reported by the government's press service.

According to the session moderator, Vice President for Development of Non-Financial Products, Regional and Foreign Network and Partnership Policy of the Russian Export Center Roman Genkel, Bashkiria is one of the most active regions regarding foreign economic activity. Thus, the republic was among the first 11 subjects of the country to begin participating in the implementation of the Regional Export Standard 2.0 program. The region exports products to over 100 countries and is actively positioning itself abroad, especially in the Middle East. Today, representative offices of Bashkiria successfully operate in Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China. The Republic is implementing a wide range of measures to support exporters. Among them is partial compensation for transporting goods abroad to regional enterprises. Since 2019, 168 companies have received support from the republican budget to reimburse logistics costs for 463 million rubles. The volume of supported exports amounted to 34.18 billion rubles.
