Radiy Khabirov signed law on new sources for Road Fund replenishment
Radiy Khabirov signed the law “On Amendments to Articles 2 and 3 of the Law of the Republic “On the Road Fund of the Republic of Bashkortostan.”
“The changes concern the list of sources for replenishing the Road Fund. — The fund will receive budget revenues from tolls to compensate for damage caused by heavy vehicles to regional and inter-municipal roads. Also, the Road Fund will receive fines for violations of traffic rules by heavy and large vehicles - except for the part that goes to local budgets,” commented Chairman of the State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev.
According to the Speaker of Parliament, the changes made to the law on the Road Fund of the Republic are logical and fair.
“The construction and repair of regional roads is financed from the republic’s budget. — Loaded trucks and other heavy vehicles create the greatest load on the roadway. It is logical and fair that payment for the damage they cause will ultimately be directed towards the repair and development of road infrastructure,” said Konstantin Tolkachev.
