Paid services in tourism sector in Bashkiria increased by 20%

In January-February 2024, in Bashkiria, in the field of tourism, paid services were provided to the population for 2.2 billion rubles, which is 20% higher than the same indicator in 2023, reports the press service of the republic's government.

In 2023, Bashkiria took 4th place in the Volga Federal District in providing paid services to the population in tourism. The total annual amount was 15.8 billion rubles. This year, sanatorium-resort organizations, holiday homes, boarding houses, campsites, and recreation centers provided paid services worth 1.3 billion rubles. Hotels provided their services for 0.5 billion rubles, which is 32% more than for the same period in 2023. 0.4 billion rubles were earned by the republic's travel agencies and tour operators. It's related to the services for temporary accommodation of tourists, for organizing their holidays in boarding houses, campsites, houses and recreation centers, tourist centers, children's health camps, and excursions.

Bashinform reported that a record 1.5 billion rubles of federal funds were raised for tourism in Bashkiria.
