Bashkiria and Azerbaijan agreed on cooperation in agricultural sector

A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB—Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, took part in the Azerbaijan-Bashkortostan business forum, organized by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO). The ministry's press service reports the details.

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov told the forum participants about the republic’s agro-industrial complex's development and export potential. In particular, he recalled that in Bashkiria, there is a genetic center for waterfowl; the whole of Russia goes to the republic for breeding stock of geese and ducks. Crop growth and the production of grains and oilseeds are developing. Separately, he focused on regional brands with high export potential. These are Bashkir honey and Bashkir horse.

During the forum, a series of fruitful discussions and negotiations took place, resulting in the signing of several significant documents on cooperation. These include a cooperation agreement between the Association of Exhibition Organizers of Azerbaijan and the Bashkir Exhibition Company and a cooperation agreement between the companies MT Group and NVP “Bashinkom.” The Davlekanovsky bakery plant also secured a contract with the local company AEF to supply its products to Azerbaijan.

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov proposed a mutually beneficial exchange of scientific developments from the agro-industrial complex of Bashkiria to Azerbaijan, a move that could enhance the food security of a friendly state. This proposal led to an agreement to organize a return visit of Azerbaijan's official delegation and business circles to Bashkiria.

Earlier, Bashinform reported that Bashkiria and Uzbekistan will create a joint technology park.
