Bashkiria and Uzbekistan will develop cooperation in tourism

The press service of the government of Bashkortostan reports that at the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia," The Center for Tourism Development of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Tourism Department of the Tashkent Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a cooperation agreement.

"The agreement aims to develop the tourism industry in both regions and strengthen ties between Bashkortostan and the Tashkent region. It is planned to exchange experience, develop joint tourism programs, hold joint events to attract tourists, and take other measures to promote tourism development," commented Rustem Afzalov, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB.

The document assumes cooperation between Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan to create and develop a unified, publicly accessible information environment in the field of tourism in Russia and Uzbekistan. The parties agreed to conduct mutual information tours for tour operators in Uzbekistan and Bashkortostan, exchange reference and information materials, and jointly develop tourist routes and pilgrimage tours.

The international industrial exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia" takes place in Tashkent from April 22 to 24. The Prime Minister of the regional government, Andrey Nazarov, heads the Bashkortostan delegation at the forum. In addition to officials, the delegation included representatives of about 70 Bashkir enterprises. The Republic of Bashkortostan is a strategic partner of the forum. Previously, the republic signed a roadmap for cooperation with Karakalpakstan, and an agreement was reached on creating a joint technology park in the Tashkent region.
