New textile production to be created in Bashkiria

The region's Minister of Trade and Services, Alexey Gusev, told the Bashinform agency that a new textile production may appear in Bashkiria.

“Today, we met with the Textile Industry Association of Uzbekistan representatives. We agreed they would send us technical specifications for constructing a production facility in Bashkiria to implement a project on producing various clothing, including specialized clothing. They promised to send us technical specifications within a week,” said Alexey Gusev, who was in Tashkent at the “Innoprom exhibition. Central Asia."

As a site for locating textile production, regional industrial parks or the Alga special economic zone will be offered for consideration to business partners from Uzbekistan, Gusev added.

As Bashinform previously reported, at the international exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”, the Bashkir enterprise “Eurasia - Ufa” and a sales company of Uzbekistan signed a contract for the supply of fruits and vegetables worth more than 1 billion rubles.

Also on the sidelines of the international forum and exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”, a “road map” was signed for the development of cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan (Uzbekistan) and the government of Bashkiria, designed for 2024–2026.

The international exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia” will end its work on April 24.
