Head of Bashkiria spoke about foreign economic relations' importance

During a meeting with media representatives in Ufa, Radiy Khabirov explained why the republic is actively developing foreign economic activity. Business missions, cultural and business events—all these produce actual results.

“The trips usually take a little time—a day or a half. At the same time, the program is very busy; there are many events, and meetings are nonstop—from communicating with heads of state to visiting cultural events. This all certainly works. We recently held an event with representatives from more than 80 states, and many of them learned about Bashkiria for the first time.

The journey is only the first key that opens the door. Our meetings with officials and state structures end with the most important document - a road map for further cooperation, where we write down everything we agreed on. Each subsequent meeting adds new points to it. But we cannot afford to become isolated. Some enterprises have to explain that they must enter foreign markets. This work will bring a completely different margin.

Of course, engaging in foreign economic activity is not easy —you need to know the laws of other countries and the norms of international law, and logistics are also complicated. But I believe we are obliged to do this, especially since we have the capabilities and competencies for this,” said Radiy Khabirov.

The head of Bashkiria emphasized the role of foreign economic relations in attracting investment and developing the republic’s economy.

“Uzbekistan is investing in production in Bashkiria. Belarus has the highest competencies in the field of mechanical engineering. We are discussing creating an interstate innovation technology park in Bashkortostan - Belarus. Kazakhstan is also a friendly republic for us. At the same time, they behave as partners very carefully - they look at the calculations and so on. Nevertheless, we are building there. Conducting foreign economic activity is difficult, but it must be done. It all works,” concluded Radiy Khabirov.
