In March, annual inflation in Bashkiria amounted to 7.3%, compared to 7.6% in February. The press service of the Branch of the National Bank of Russia for the Republic reported that the overall price level decreased mainly due to the expansion of the supply of food products and foreign tourism services and a decrease in demand for domestic flights.
Thanks to government support, it was possible to stabilize egg prices and increase the yield of greenhouse farms; as a result, cucumbers became cheaper, and the cost of tomatoes slowed down. Record catches in the country have led to an expansion in the supply of fish products, which is why price increases have slowed down. Car dealers were selling cars on promotions, offering lucrative loans and support programs from automakers to eliminate last year's inventory. Due to discounts on new cars, buyers' interest in used cars has decreased. As a result, the appreciation of both has slowed down.
The decrease in demand for domestic flights directly impacted the growth of air ticket prices. Simultaneously, the increase in the number of flights and hoteliers' flexible pricing policy, driven by heightened competition, contributed to a slowdown in the prices for tours to Turkey.
