The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, during today’s working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, spoke about the tools for industrial development that are being implemented in the republic, including thanks to federal support.
Radiy Khabirov reported on 10 operating clusters, the Alga special economic zone and priority development areas, and the work of the Industrial Development Fund. Separately, the head of the region mentioned plans to create a machine tool cluster.
“We at Rostec met with Sergei Chemezov. All these years, we discussed the necessity of creating a machine tool cluster in the republic because the competencies remained from Soviet times, a large machine tool enterprise in Sterlitamak. Now, we have agreed and are already starting design work. And already somewhere in the first half of 2026, we will be casting frames for the machines we are now buying in Belarus. This is not an easy job, but we are doing this work. This includes the cluster policy and the support of all our large corporations with whom we are going. And in Rostec, we have 11 large enterprises,” the Head of the Republic noted.
Radiy Khabirov thanked the country's president for the decision to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the republican enterprise UMPO.
