Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov, during the announcement of the report on the work of the government of the republic in 2023 before deputies of the State Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the 7th convocation, said that retail trade turnover in the region exceeded 1.2 trillion rubles. According to the Cabinet of Ministers head, this level exceeded the 2018 figures by more than 45%.
In addition, the volume of wholesale trade in Bashkiria reached 1.5 trillion rubles, which is 80% higher than the figures five years ago.
“A digital revolution is underway in Bashkiria. Online trading has experienced phenomenal growth, expanding its volumes by almost 12 times over the past five years, surpassing the Russian average rate. The region now boasts approximately 46 thousand retail, food, and consumer services establishments, a significant increase of 3.8 thousand since 2019. Notably, last year witnessed the creation of over 300 equipped small-format trading platforms with 3.5 thousand seats, a testament to the government's support for residents’ products,” Andrey Nazarov proudly announced.
