The government of the Republic reports data for January 2024 showing that mutual trade turnover between Bashkiria and Turkey increased by 83.6%. Most of it was exported from the republic to a friendly country. Turkey still ranks second among the region's counterparties.
“According to the results of 2023, the volume of export supplies from our republic to Turkey increased by 123.2% compared to 2022, and according to data for January 2024 - 2 times. We consider the supply of products from the chemical, petrochemical, woodworking industries, metallurgy, and agricultural products to be promising areas of cooperation,” commented Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic.
As the republic's government emphasized, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, information technology, agriculture, and tourism are the most relevant sectors for investment cooperation between Bashkiria and Turkey, which corresponds to the objectives of the national project “International Cooperation and Export.”
