Bashkiria is experiencing a record-low unemployment rate, and the job seeker sets the tone in today's labor market. Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria, spoke about this. According to her data, on average, there are 4 vacancies for each applicant in the republic, and in manufacturing and mechanical engineering, there are 8 vacancies; in some highly specialized enterprises, this figure reaches 13 vacancies per person.
At the end of 2023, the unemployment rate in Bashkiria was 2.3% of the economically active population. This is the absolute minimum in the entire history of observations (in 2022, the figure was 3.4%). Lenara Ivanova noted that in the coming years, the situation will worsen since the number of school graduates entering the labor market in subsequent years will decrease. Therefore, employers should now consider who will work at their enterprises and carry out career guidance work among schoolchildren and young people.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that enterprises in Bashkiria are trying to attract workers who work or plan to work on a rotational basis in other regions by creating more attractive conditions in their region.
In addition, on April 12, the regional stage of the All-Russian Employment Fair will be held in Ufa and other cities and regional centers of the republic. Over 1,000 enterprises and organizations in Bashkiria will present over 10,000 vacancies to applicants, including those with a reasonably high salary—100,000 rubles or more.
