Bashkiria significantly increased flour exports

Bashkiria exported 3.5 times more flour in 2.5 months of 2024 than in the same period last year, the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor reported.

From January to March 2024, the supervisory agency controlled 1,382 tons of wheat and rye flour exported from Bashkiria to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Flour samples in all export shipments were thoroughly tested at the Bashkir testing laboratory. Based on the research results, no harmful quarantine organisms were identified; all products meet the requirements of importing countries.

For comparison, for the same period in 2023, Bashkiria exported 401.5 tons of flour. Flour mills in the region then shipped their products to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, Bashkiria currently exports its agricultural products to 44 countries worldwide. 59% of shipments are from the oil and fat industry—vegetable oil, meal, and cake.

Let us remind you that within the framework of the national goal of “Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship,” the national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in exports of non-commodity and non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
