Investments in priority development areas reached 3 billion rubles in Bashkiria

Residents of priority development territories (PDAs) in Bashkortostan invested almost 3 billion rubles in the regional economy in 2023, 1.5 times more than the 2022 values. The Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Andrei Nazarov, spoke about this at a meeting with the administrations of single-industry towns, at which the results and prospects for the functioning of the priority development areas were discussed.

“In 2023, investors invested 2.8 billion rubles and created more than 800 new jobs. During the preferential regime of the PDAs, residents invested over 10 billion rubles in the regional economy and created about 6 thousand new jobs. The priority development areas' functioning positively impacted registered unemployment levels in the territories, increasing wages and increasing the shipment of industrial goods, said Andrei Nazarov.

During the meeting, changes to tax legislation regarding tax monitoring of residents of priority development areas were discussed. Now, for resident companies, the minimum asset value, the total income received, and the total amount of taxes and contributions payable are not mandatory when deciding to conduct tax monitoring. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustam Muratov noted that tax monitoring had many advantages for the PDAs residents.

In order to receive feedback from residents on the functioning of the PDAs, the Ministry of Economic Development RB urged single-industry town administrations to ensure the active participation of PDAs resident companies in surveys conducted on the Investment portal of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
