

In 2023, Bashkortostan enterprises shipped 21 million tons of various products by rail—306.6 thousand tons, or 1.44% less than in 2022. The deputy head of the territorial administration of the Kuibyshev Railway, Dmitry Novikov, announced this at a government briefing session.
Of the total loading volume (21 million tons), 759 thousand tons are accounted for by 59 new shippers.
Significantly increased shipments of goods such as grain (+142%), sugar (+21%), ferrous metal scrap (+8%), cargo in containers (+7.8%).
The main decrease was due to shipments of construction materials (-39%), chemicals and soda (-5.5%), and industrial raw materials (-6.5%). Loading of petroleum products decreased by -0.6%.
