Bashkiria and Rosneft signed Memorandum on domestic car tourism development

The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Rosneft entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation in developing domestic automobile tourism. The signatories were the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Andrey Nazarov, and the Vice President for Development of Retail Business and Domestic Market of Rosneft Sergey Stepanenko. The exchange of documents took place as part of the opening of the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Rosneft pavilion at the International Forum and Exhibition “Russia” in Moscow.

According to the press service of the Government RB, the memorandum provides for effective cooperation in the development of domestic automobile tourism, promotion of the tourism potential of Bashkortostan, roadside service facilities, and the Bashneft gas station network, which is part of the retail network of Rosneft Oil Company. In the republic, 27 gas stations are located on federal highways and highways towards the main tourist destinations of Bashkortostan.

Welcoming the participants in the opening ceremony of the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the pavilion of Rosneft, Andrey Nazarov noted that Rosneft's key asset, the Bashneft company, formed about 10% of the gross regional product and was the largest taxpayer in the republic.

“Today, the company is developing at a rapid pace. Rosneft's share in oil production in the republic is almost 100%. Last year alone, Bashneft geologists discovered 32 new oil deposits in the republic. 3.2 million tons of Euro-5 and Euro-6 standard gasoline were produced. With the support of the Government RB, the entire range of preferential instruments available to investors is used,” the Prime Minister said.

Advisor to the Rosneft CEO, General Director of Bashneft Andrey Lazeev noted that, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan, large-scale work was being carried out in the region to develop social infrastructure. Over the past 5 years, more than 200 projects have been implemented in 49 districts and cities. The total funds allocated for charitable purposes since 2016 amounted to 27.8 billion rubles.

Bashneft is the largest employer and taxpayer in Bashkortostan and a key social partner of the republic. Since 2016, the regional budget has received 172 billion rubles in taxes from Bashneft. In addition, over five years, Bashneft has invested more than 30.5 billion rubles in environmental projects,” Andrey Lazeev said.

Andrey Nazarov emphasized that interaction between the republic and Bashneft would only increase. Over the past five years, the region has increased capital investments by 1.5 times and is developing at a pace twice as fast as the national average. This is due to an advanced infrastructure for comprehensive support of investment projects. The Prime Minister of Bashkortostan added that about 2,000 such initiatives were currently being implemented for more than 1.2 trillion rubles in Bashkortostan.
