The press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department reported that the Sterlitamak enterprise exported 22 tons of vetch seeds to Belgium.
Selected samples of this forage crop underwent laboratory examination in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.
“According to the examination results, no quarantine pests were identified. Products of plant origin comply with the requirements of the European Union and Belgium, the importing country. It should be noted that forage grass seeds produced by Bashkortostan seed producers are in steady demand abroad due to their high green mass, resistance to temperature changes, diseases, drought, and other qualities,” the supervisory agency reported.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, seed growers in Bashkiria have significantly increased the export of their products.
Let us remind you that within the framework of the national goal of “Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship,” the national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in exports of non-commodity and non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
