Over 7.9 thousand km of roads were repaired over 5 years in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, over 5 years, more than 7.9 thousand km of roads and more than 9 thousand linear meters of bridges were built, repaired, and reconstructed, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Belarus reported. More than 1.5 thousand km of roads and 1,282 linear meters of bridges were repaired as part of the national project “Safe Quality Roads.” The work was carried out at sites included in the supporting road network, on routes leading to tourist sites, roads providing transport accessibility to the population of both small settlements and large villages and cities.

Work continues in 2024 on large sites such as the Eastern Exit, Shakshinsky Bridge, Vysotnaya, Akademika Uraksina, and Rabkorov streets in the Kirovsky district of Ufa.

In the capital of Bashkortostan, a large-scale project, “Southern Gate,” is being implemented. The volume of investments exceeds 16 billion rubles. It provides for the reconstruction of Pugacheva Street and the construction of General Rylenko Street, along with a transport interchange. A major overhaul of Ufa’s iconic landmark, the arched bridge across the Belaya River, has also begun. They are planned to be introduced in 2024.

In 2022, road workers began constructing the federal highways M-7 Volga and M-12 Vostok in the northwest of Bashkortostan from the border with Tatarstan to the border with the Perm Territory. The total length of this section will be more than 200 km.

Since 2019, municipalities have received budget funds to fill access roads with crushed stone and sand-gravel surfaces. More than 2.6 thousand km of roads have been filled.

For the first time in Bashkortostan since 2022, funds have been allocated to repair access roads to gardening partnerships. Almost 59 km of such roads were repaired in two years, and 150 million rubles were allocated for these works.

A road repair program was launched in 2023 on the initiative of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. 4 billion rubles were allocated for it. Last year, 170 km were repaired. Work in this area will continue in 2024.
