Head of Bashkiria told in which industries mega-projects will be implemented

Industry is our republic's key sector, accounting for almost 40% of the gross regional product. Over the five years (from 2019 to 2023), production increased by nearly 20%. Radiy Khabirov stated this at a meeting of the board of the Bashkortostan Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Innovation.

In his Address, the head of the region recalled that the Russian President outlined one of the main goals of industrial development—ensuring the country's technological sovereignty.

“In the next six years, the gross added value of the Russian manufacturing industry should increase by at least 40%. In our country, manufacturing industries are the main driver of the republic's development. This is where we see the primary growth, especially in the enterprises of the Rostec group. This direction is the highest priority for us now.

In general, in the industrial sector, our portfolio of investment projects amounts to more than 470 billion rubles with an implementation horizon of ten years ahead.

Enterprises in the industry receive all the necessary support. Over the past 5 years, more than 12 billion rubles have been allocated through the Ministry of Industry.

In addition, as part of implementing the President’s instructions to strengthen technological sovereignty, the Russian Government is transferring the most important industry tasks into the format of mega-projects. At the republican level, we have already identified several mega-projects in the main areas of import substitution of critical chemicals, machine tool products, and unmanned aerial systems. It is necessary to ensure the implementation and support of these mega-projects,” said Radiy Khabirov.
