Comprehensive industrial development program until 2030 is being created in Bashkiria

The main results of Bashkortostan's industrial sector work in 2023 and its current tasks for the future were presented in his report by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation of the Republic Alexander Sheldyaev.

The industrial production index in 2023 reached 106.5% in the region, which is higher than the Russian average. The total volume of shipments from Bashkortostan enterprises increased by 9% last year and 40% over the past five years. At the same time, more than 70% of production comes from manufacturing industries.

“Despite sanctions pressure, the republic’s industry is actively increasing its development dynamics, showing good results in many industrial production sectors. Enterprises of the military-industrial complex, as well as import-substituting projects, are developing steadily,” said Alexander Sheldyaev.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that industrial enterprises account for 60% of regional economic investments. At the beginning of 2024, the portfolio of investment projects includes 83 initiatives with a total investment volume of 474.6 billion rubles. The most significant projects are implemented in the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Alexander Sheldyaev noted the important role of republican support for the industrial sector, particularly the creation of preferential territories in the region—the Alga special economic zone and industrial and industrial parks. The republic has allocated over 12 billion rubles to support enterprises in the last five years.

The Deputy Prime Minister listed the industry's tasks as strengthening technological sovereignty, increasing the pace of industrial mortgages, developing energy infrastructure, supporting innovative projects, and improving resources and staffing. These priorities will be reflected in the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Industry of the Republic until 2030, which is at the final stage of approval.
