Tourism infrastructure support in Bashkiria amounted to 1.5 billion rubles

“The board of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism summed up the work for 2023 and outlined the main tasks. Small and medium-sized businesses can safely be called one of the main pillars of Bashkortostan's economy. Representatives of this business provide work for a third of those employed in the economy and form up to 27% of the gross regional product, which is almost 7% more than the national average.

We have introduced a whole system of measures to support the industry. We are among the leaders in the country in the number of preferential territories and the first in the number of industrial clusters. Last year, SMEs allocated over 1 billion rubles to implement initiatives.

Another fast-growing sector of our economy is tourism and the hospitality industry. Among the non-resort regions of Russia in terms of the number of vacationers in sanatoriums, we are in 5th place in the country and first place in the Volga Federal District.

In 2023, a record 1.5 billion rubles were raised to develop the industry. As a result, tourist flow increased by more than 14% and amounted to over 2 million trips. The investment portfolio in this area already includes more than 400 projects worth over 43 billion rubles.

I would also like to note the implementation of social programs in tourism. Last year, the “Bashkir Longevity” project was scaled up to Belarus and Abkhazia, and the school tourism project was completed.

Among the tasks for this year are to increase the number of SMEs to 140 thousand, expand the tourist flow to the republic by 20%, and develop tourism infrastructure and new directions, including student tourism. It is necessary to work out as much as possible the issue of creating a special economic zone of a tourist and recreational type in our country,” Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov said on social networks.
