President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving Russia's scientific and technological development strategy. The strategy sets the main goals, objectives, and priorities of scientific and technological development and determines the direction of state policy in this area.
The strategy provides the basis for developing industry documents, national and regional government programs, and programs to support scientific, technical, and innovative activities and institutions for innovative development.
According to the decree, the strategy was approved until 2030. The Decree comes into force on the date of its publication. The previous decree, “On the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation,” dated December 1, 2016, was no longer in force.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that Bashkiria entered the top 5 national rankings for regions' scientific and technological development. The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about this on his social network page. The rating was presented at a meeting of the government Commission on Scientific and Technological Development and the Science Commission of the State Council.
