Trade turnover between Bashkiria and UAE has increased more than 5 times

Bashkiria and the United Arab Emirates increased mutual trade turnover by 5.4 times. Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov shared the national project “International Cooperation and Export” results over the past year.

“The UAE ranks 6th in the list of partner countries of Bashkortostan in terms of WTO volume with a share of 3.7% based on the results of 2023. Compared to the indicators for 2022, the country has risen by 20 positions in this ranking. We recorded a 5.7-fold increase in export volumes from Bashkortostan to the United Arab Emirates at the end of last year. We plan to continue to develop foreign economic relations with Asian countries,” commented the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the region Margarita Bolycheva, the bulk of exports were mineral products, chemical industry products, and other goods.

“Promising directions for exports from Bashkortostan to the UAE are the supply of wheat and meslin, turbojet and turboprop engines, gas turbines, eggs, liquid pumps, sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oil, mineral and chemical fertilizers,” she noted.
