Bashkiria and St. Petersburg will cooperate in human resources

As part of the conference “The Concept of a Common Migration Space of the CIS Member States: General Principles and National Interests” at the St. Petersburg International Labor Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkortostan and the Committee on Labor and Employment of the Population of St. Petersburg. With the document, the parties secured a decision on interaction in solving pressing problems in the field of labor and promoting employment, including increasing the mobility of labor resources and the quality and accessibility of public services.

The parties intend to interact on interregional redistribution of labor resources to assist employers in recruiting personnel and employing unemployed and job-seeking residents of St. Petersburg and Bashkortostan.

Lenara Ivanova noted that Bashkortostan is interested in high-quality migration growth. The mechanism for attracting foreign specialists to the region within the framework of the republican program “Assisting in the voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad to the Republic of Bashkortostan” has shown its effectiveness. In 2023, 165 people came to the republic with the support of this program, and in five years - about 800 compatriots.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that Bashkiria would develop a system for monitoring the need for labor resources.
