Bashkiria - is in Top 10 regions’ digital transformation ranking

At the end of 2023, the Republic of Bashkortostan consolidated its position in the top 10 of the ranking of digital transformation of regions, taking 8th place despite testing a new methodology for assessing regions.

According to the Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Gennady Razumikin, Bashkortostan retained 2nd place in digital development in the Volga Federal District.

The digital transformation rating has been in effect in our country since 2021. Several criteria are taken into account when calculating points. One of the main ones is the region's digital maturity in industries such as public transport, education, healthcare, public administration, urban management, and construction. The work of the feedback platform, the transfer of socially significant services into electronic form, the import independence of software, the degree of information security, and other parameters are also assessed.

At the end of 2023, as a result of systematic work on the implementation of strategic documents in the field of digital transformation of sectors of the economy, social sphere, and public administration, the Republic of Bashkortostan fulfilled all established targets and tasks, including the value of the indicator “Digital maturity of government bodies of the Republic of Bashkortostan, local authorities self-government and organizations in healthcare, education, urban management and construction, public transport, implying their use of domestic information technology solutions” reached 90.33%.
