100 facilities will be built as part of national projects including Eastern Exit from Ufa in 2024

This year, due to the implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads,” the construction and reconstruction of regional and local roads and artificial structures will continue. In total, it is planned to put into operation 117 such facilities, including the Eastern Exit from Ufa, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin. The press service of the Russian government reported this.

Deputy Head of Rosavtodor Igor Kostyuchenko stressed the importance of work to modernize the road structure in the regions.

One of the largest projects is the construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa. The highway will connect two federal highways M-5 and M-7 and allow transit transport to be removed from the streets of the Bashkir capital. The main work on the Eastern exit from Ufa was completed last autumn. Work on the site is planned to be completed this year.

As Bashinform reported on February 6, citing the Minister of Transport of Bashkortostan, Alexander Klebanov, the technical readiness of the new exit from Ufa to the federal highway M-5 “Ural” (“Eastern Exit”) reached 94 percent.

1,400 people work at the site, 195 units of special machinery and equipment are involved. Engineering systems, ventilation, and lighting are being installed now. The painting of the tunnels and the application of road markings have already been completed.

At the same time, work is underway to install drainage collectors, railings, noise barriers, and toll collection system equipment.

“We are planning to launch traffic shortly,” emphasized Alexander Klebanov.

Last month 14 km of lighting was installed at the site.

The Eastern Exit is the largest infrastructure project in Bashkortostan and the Volga Federal District, implemented under a concession agreement concluded in 2017 between the government of the Bashkortostan Republic (concessor) and Bashkir Concession Company LLC (concessionaire, part of VTB Infrastructure Holding).

The cost of construction and installation work is about 40.3 billion rubles. Of these, 4.5 billion are allocated by the region, 26.7 billion by federal funds, and over 9.1 billion rubles by the concessionaire.
