Agricultural producers in the Belebeevsky and Meleuzovsky districts of Bashkiria exported almost 2,700 tons of food barley to Latvia. The press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor regional department reported this.
Grain samples were examined at the Bashkir testing laboratory.
The day before, Bashinform News Agency, regarding the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, reported that by the end of 2023, agricultural exports in the region increased by 79 percent. Almost 748 thousand tons of agricultural products worth $338.6 million were shipped from Bashkiria during the year. All this despite sanctions and difficulties with international payments, noted Radiy Khabirov.
Today, Bashkiria exports its agricultural products to 44 countries around the world. 59% of shipments are from oil and fat industry products - vegetable oil, meal, and cake.
