

Exports of lumber from Bashkiria increased by 1,000 cubic meters in January 2024, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor regional department reported.
In January 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria controlled the export of 4,200 cubic meters of lumber to the countries of the Customs Union and the former republics of the Soviet Union. A total of six countries around the world.
Contractors purchased products processed from Bashkir wood from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Edged boards, timber, and spliced boards comprised the bulk of products made from coniferous and deciduous trees.
Samples of products selected by inspectors of the supervisory department from 98 batches underwent entomological examinations at the Bashkir testing laboratory.
In January last year, Bashkiria exported 3,200 cubic meters of lumber. Lumber was then shipped to seven countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, and Uzbekistan.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, in February, Bashkiria shipped birch boards to Vietnam for the first time.
