Bashkiria in first place in Volga Federal District in wholesale trade turnover

Wholesale trade turnover in Bashkiria at the end of 2023 increased in comparable prices by 22.6% compared to last year and reached 1 trillion 530.6 billion rubles. This is significantly higher than the dynamics in Russia as a whole and in the Volga Federal District. In terms of the growth rate of this indicator, the republic now ranks first in the district, as noted at a meeting of the government of Bashkiria.

According to the Minister of Trade and Services of Bashkiria, Alexey Gusev, the region has a positive trend according to all indicators. At the end of last year, the consumer price index was 106.9%, lower than the Russian average (107.4%).

The head of the Ministry of Trade also noted that as of January 2024, the republic ranks first in the Volga Federal District regarding the number of registered enterprises and individual entrepreneurs in the national digital labeling and product traceability system “Honest Sign”.

Public catering turnover in Bashkiria amounted to 42 billion rubles last year. Today, the region has over 3.4 thousand catering establishments with 140 thousand seats. Regarding the growth rate in the Volga Federal District, the republic ranks second.

Meanwhile, investments in trade over the nine months of last year increased by 18.8% and reached 5.8 billion rubles.

To develop roadside service in Bashkiria, work has been established with investors to implement more than 100 projects with a total investment volume of about 11 billion rubles. In 2023 alone, 301 new roadside service facilities were introduced in the republic, and 307 were modernized.

At the same time, work continues to ensure quality nutrition in schools. Monitoring the execution of state and municipal contracts shows positive dynamics: the number of violations and complaints about school meals is decreasing. Moreover, it was possible to increase the share of local products in school meals from 52% to 68%. Let us remind you that organizing school meals in Bashkiria is recognized as the best in Russia.
