Prime Minister of Bashkortostan visited Minsk Automobile Plant

Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov, as part of the official delegation to the Republic of Belarus, visited the Minsk Automobile Plant and held a working meeting with the acting General Director - Director of Production Sergei Evtukhovsky.

According to the press service of the government of Bashkortostan, the parties discussed cooperation between the Minsk plant and Bashkortostan's enterprises. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that MAZ is a long-time partner of the republic, where the quality and reliability of the company’s equipment is highly valued.

As part of the visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to the Belarusian automobile holding, a memorandum of intent for cooperation was concluded between Minsk Automobile Plant OJSC and Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant JSC. The Memorandum was signed by the Deputy General Director - Commercial Director of MAZ OJSC Sergey Shulyak and the General Director of UTTZ JSC Denis Rassadnikov.

The document provides for the development of urban electric transport and electric mobility technologies in Bashkortostan. Thus, the possibility of implementing a joint project to create the production of electric transport, the “MAZ-Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant,” is being considered. The Memorandum also prescribes expanding production capacity, developing and producing new models of urban electric transport, and maintaining and creating a central warehouse of spare parts for Belarusian equipment.

In addition, Minsk Automobile Plant OJSC and the Ufa enterprise Uralmash LLC signed a contract to supply 100 dump trucks to Bashkortostan for 800 million rubles.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the delegation of Bashkortostan, led by the Head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, is working in the Republic of Belarus from February 8 to 11. The key event of the visit will be participation in the Bashkortostan-Belarus business forum. The Bashkir delegation included members of the Government, heads of ministries, departments, development institutions, enterprises, and organizations.
