Today, February 9, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, visited the Belarusian machine-building company Amkodor in Minsk. He inspected the equipment that will be produced at the Amkodor-Alga plant being built in Ufa.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Amkodor, the holding’s management company, Alexander Shakutin, said that this will be the most modern plant, which plans to produce more than 25 types of products. The new production will be located in the Alga Special Economic Zone. The volume of investment in the project is estimated at 7.9 billion rubles, with plans to purchase equipment worth 5.4 billion rubles. The new plant will produce up to 1 thousand units of equipment per year, including tracked and wheeled excavators, tracked bulldozers, and motor graders. The company will employ about 1 thousand people.
“This will be one of the best and most beautiful factories, and the products will be of the highest quality. Moreover, over the three years that the holding was under sanctions, we invested $78 million in the production of components. Wonderful, hardworking people live in Bashkiria. The republic has a high level of competence in mechanical engineering. The holding plans to create its design bureau in Ufa, which will design new equipment. It is important to note the leadership of Bashkortostan's interest in opening new production facilities, their attentive attitude towards investors, and the creation of comfortable conditions for business. There is a team that works for the region's development and its future,” noted Alexander Shakutin.
Radiy Khabirov expressed hope that a new plant in Bashkortostan will be built this year.
Amkodor Holding is one of the leading enterprises producing special equipment in Belarus and the CIS countries.
