Bashkiria sold 20 thousand tons of grain on Russian market in January
In January 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria issued quarantine certificates for more than 20 thousand tons of grain and its processed products prepared for shipment to other regions of Russia.
In total, 355 consignments of grain and leguminous crops sold to Russian contractors in 13 regions were inspected. Among them are Altai, Krasnodar, Perm regions, as well as Leningrad, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions, Karelia, Tatarstan and Udmurtia.
The main types of grain products in demand in the country’s domestic market are still wheat and barley - 10.07 and 6.5 thousand tons, respectively. In addition, Bashkir farmers supply the Russian market with sunflower seeds for processing, oats, rapeseed, corn, peas, meals, and cereals.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, the republic tripled flour exports last year. Grain exports increased 2.3 times.
