Bashkiria exported 13.8 thousand tons of sunflower meal

In January 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria inspected 195 batches of granulated sunflower meal prepared for export to the European Union by oil extraction plants in the region.

“The total weight of export shipments of high-protein feed additives for farm animals amounted to 13,798 tons, comparable to the volume of exports for the same period in 2023,” the supervisory agency stated.

Samples of by-products from the processing of sunflower seeds into vegetable oil underwent entomological and herbological examinations in the Bashkir testing laboratory, subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.

“Based on the research results, products of plant origin meet the requirements of the EU and importing countries: Germany and the Netherlands,” added the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria.

Let us add that in 2023, producers of granulated sunflower meal from Bashkiria doubled the export of their products. As the Bashinform News Agency reported, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria from January to December last year controlled 175.266 thousand tons of granulated sunflower meal shipped by oil extraction enterprises of the republic to the countries of the European and Customs Unions.

Let us remind you that within the framework of the national goal of “Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship,” the national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in exports of non-commodity and non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
