Industrial production index in Bashkiria exceeded Russian average

The results of 2023 indicate an increase in industrial production in Bashkiria - the production index amounted to 106.5% by 2022, regional statisticians reported.

Moreover, the industrial production index in Bashkiria is ahead of the Russian average.

An increase in industrial production volumes in Bashkiria in January-December last year was recorded in two sectors: manufacturing, at 108.5%, and energy, at 102.9%. Conversely, a decrease was observed in mineral extraction by 1.0% and water supply, sanitation, waste collection and disposal, and pollution elimination - by 1.2%.

Among manufacturing industries, positive dynamics since the beginning of 2023 have been noted in the production of electrical equipment, furniture, machinery and equipment, computers, electronic and optical products, finished metal products, other finished products, coke, and petroleum products, rubber and plastic products, vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, other vehicles, and equipment, as well as textiles, machine repair and installation, wood processing, beverage, and food production.

At the same time, compared to January - December 2022, the republic experienced a slight decrease in volumes in printing activities, production of clothing, leather and leather goods, medicines, other non-metallic mineral products, and metallurgical production. In addition, there was a decline in the production of paper and paper products, chemicals, and chemical products.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, in 2023, Bashkiria's industry received state support for 4.3 billion rubles.
