Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan agreed on first grain supplies

The delegation of Bashkortostan, led by the head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, is on a working visit to Kazakhstan. According to the press service of the Government of the Republic, among the first meetings were negotiations with the Grain Union of Kazakhstan and the Food Contract Corporation. They are working on stabilizing the food market, including grain. The Union consolidates Kazakhstan's largest producers of grains, oilseeds, and legumes.

“On our side, business representatives were interested in the supply of grain and grain crops to Kazakhstan. The negotiations were successful. One of the companies agreed on a trial supply of grain in 1000 tons. I hope that this will be a good start for the further development of trade relations,” said the Minister of Trade and Services of the Republic, Aleksey Gusev.

Bashkir entrepreneurs outlined some technical points regarding logistics, obtaining permits, and other issues. Kazakh colleagues promised to help and assist in this.

“As for the domestic market, we agreed to prepare a presentation on our needs and capabilities, and together with colleagues from the Kazakh side, we will give a technical description of this,” added Alexey Gusev.
