Bashkir grain sales on Russian domestic market have doubled

In 2023, Bashkiria more than doubled the volume of grain sales to the country’s domestic market, reports Rosselkhoznadzor. Also, the number of regions that purchased Bashkir grain has almost doubled - now there are 23.

According to the department, Bashkir agricultural companies sold 507.8 thousand tons of grain and processed products.

Grain products were sent to the Altai, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk and Perm territories, Crimea, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Leningrad, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Oryol, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk regions, Karelia, Tataria, Udmurtia, LPR and other regions.

For comparison, in 2022, the Bashkir agro-industrial complex shipped 263.3 thousand tons of grain legumes to domestic contractors in 14 country regions.

First, Bashkir wheat is in demand on the domestic market - 261.4 thousand tons of it were sold. Barley - 171.31 thousand tons, sunflower seeds - 52.85 thousand tons, as well as 5 thousand tons of flax seeds, 3.09 thousand tons of rye, 2.39 thousand tons of oats, 2.09 thousand tons of lentils, 1.62 thousand tons of corn, 1.3 thousand tons of peas, 0.71 thousand tons of buckwheat, 1.74 thousand tons of sunflower meal, as well as 2.75 thousand tons of cereals, according to the RSN.

In the first half of January of this year, enterprises in the Karmaskalinsky, Meleuzovsky, Alsheevsky, and Chishminsky districts sold almost 3 thousand tons of food wheat to the Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk regions and Krasnodar Territory.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, sales of Bashkir-made flour abroad have tripled.
