Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said at an operational meeting that the republic is the leader in Russia in honey production.
According to the speaker, the region’s share is about 10.5% in the country and 30.7% in the Volga Federal District.
“Over the 5 years of the program, the volume of commercial honey has increased by 10%. At the end of 2023, beekeepers of the republic produced 6 thousand tons of honey. The decrease in honey production volumes is caused by unfavorable natural and climatic conditions of the year,” noted Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
Last year, the leaders in honey production were the Mishkinsky and Gafuriysky districts, where they produced 300 tons, and in the Nurimanovsky, Dyurtyulinsky, and Blagoveshchensky districts, they produced 268 to 226 tons.
More than 111 tons of honey were exported from the republic to 7 countries, added the Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkiria. We are talking about Belarus, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Uzbekistan and others.
Previously, two beekeepers from Bashkiria became winners of the “Best Honey of Russia 2023” competition.
