Economically active population of Bashkiria has been announced
According to a sample survey, in Bashkiria, the labor force aged 15 years and older in August–October 2023 exceeded 1.942 million people. More than 1.9 million people were classified as engaged in economic activities. Over 42 thousand more people are considered unemployed, meeting the criteria of the International Labor Organization. They did not have a job or gainful occupation, were looking for work, and were ready to start work in the survey week. Bashkir Statistical Agency provides this data.
In Russia as a whole, the labor force, according to the latest data, is almost 76.378 million people, and in the Volga Federal District, it is 14.786 million people.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Bashkiria for 10 months of 2023 amounted to 54,943 rubles. This is 15.4 percent more than in January–October 2022.
