The Russian government will allocate another 8 billion rubles to support farmers in 2024. The signed resolution specifies the procedure for providing funds.
Thus, for recipients of the Agrostartup grant, a minimum amount has been introduced, which will be 1.5 million rubles. Now, it can be used, among other things, to purchase seedlings of berry crops.
Regions will independently determine their priority areas of activity to reimburse farmers for part of the costs incurred. They added to their list the purchase of planting material for berry crops, young cattle, and berries from citizens running private farms.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the number of agricultural consumer cooperatives will now include consumer societies in which at least 70% of their revenue is generated through the procurement, storage, processing, and marketing of agricultural products.
For agricultural cooperatives in Siberia, the reimbursement of costs for purchasing machinery and equipment will be increased from 50% to 60%. However, the total amount of such payments should not exceed 10 million rubles.
