

In 2023, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic reported that foresters in Bashkiria harvested more than 3.1 tons of forest plant seeds.
The main share falls on coniferous species (2.79 tons) - pine, spruce, and larch.
Seeds of deciduous trees are stored in a volume of 310 kg. These are birch, ash, linden, and oak.
The stock of selected pine and spruce seeds amounted to 310.4 kg.
The forest seed fund is being formed within the framework of the regional project “Forest Conservation” of the national project “Ecology,” the department recalled.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, reforestation was planned for 17 thousand hectares this year. In 2022, 16.9 thousand hectares were restored in the republic, while 13.1 thousand hectares were cut down.
