During a visit to Ufa, entrepreneurs from Turkey took the initiative to organize the birch veneer production in Bashkiria, reporting the press service of the government of the Republic. Guests were told about measures to support export-oriented enterprises, including subsidies to reimburse part of the cost of transporting goods abroad, assistance in participating in foreign business missions and exhibitions, promoting interests on international electronic trading platforms, and others. Turkish entrepreneurs were presented with the investment potential of the republic and the possibilities of the Alga Special Economic Zone.
Turkish businesses' interest in cooperating with Bashkiria is growing. Thus, in January-October 2023, mutual trade turnover between Bashkiria and Turkey increased by 107.9% compared to the same period in 2022. There is an increase in exports by 115.6% and imports by 56% compared to the previous year, while supplies from Bashkiria occupy about 90% of the total trade turnover. Turkey ranks second among the republic's counterparties, with a share of 13% of the region's total trade turnover.
