Digital ruble is included in tax regulation and control system

The federal law introduces amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation on taxes and fees, providing for integrating the digital ruble into the tax regulation system.

In particular, the concept of “digital ruble account” is introduced, the right of tax authorities to suspend transactions on digital ruble accounts, the rights and obligations of the operator of the digital ruble platform, and the procedure for exercising tax control are established.

The digital ruble is being created primarily as another means for payments and transfers. Opening a deposit and receiving a loan in digital rubles will not be possible, and interest will not accrue on balances in digital wallets. This is done to develop competition and innovation in the financial market.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the Central Bank had set tariffs for transactions with digital rubles.
