Gross regional product of Bashkiria will reach 2.3 trillion rubles

“This year has been difficult for our farmers. Sanctions, rising prices for resources, shortage of personnel, and weather conditions had an impact. Despite this, a good harvest was obtained. The export of our agricultural products has increased significantly. We set ourselves to increase agricultural production by at least 8.7%. We will continue to update our fleet of agricultural machinery and equipment actively. Since 2020, we have been annually in the top five Russian regions in terms of equipment supplies through Rosagroleasing. Our republic is one of the leaders in the country in the development of farms and cooperatives,” said Radiy Khabirov in his annual Address to the State Assembly of the Republic.

The head of Bashkiria emphasized that all areas and sectors significantly influence the growth of the republic’s economy. At the end of the year, gross regional product is expected to grow by 3.2%. It will reach 2.3 trillion rubles.

“We will continue to work at the same pace. Regarding the number of small and medium-sized businesses, the republic is in the top ten (2nd in the Volga Federal District, 10th in the Russian Federation). The budget retains incentives for industry and business. If the budget is well executed in the second half of 2024, we can increase the amounts for these purposes. One of our main priorities is improving people's incomes. At the end of 9 months, real wages increased by 11.8%. We achieved an unprecedented low unemployment rate of 2.2%. Here, I would like to thank, first of all, our enterprises and employment centers for their practical joint work.

Regarding the number of citizens trained within the framework of the federal project “Promotion of Employment,” we are among the top five. Next year, we will carry out a complete “reboot” of the employment service as part of a project by the Russian Ministry of Labor. We will allocate 760 million rubles, including 426 million, from the federal budget. This is the most significant tranche among the regions participating in the project. The format of services and the approach to their provision will be changed, and the speed of personnel selection will increase,” noted Radiy Khabirov.
