Since the beginning of this year, flour mills in Bashkiria have increased the supply of their products for export by almost 300 percent, reported the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
“Over 11 months, 173 wheat and rye flour shipments were shipped from Bashkiria to countries near and far abroad, the Customs Union, the CIS, and former union republics. The total volume of grain processing products sold abroad reached 9,218.2 tons,” the supervisory agency stated, noting that the volume of shipped products and the geography of supplies has increased.
Thus, a large batch of Bashkir flour was shipped to Afghanistan for the first time.
All batches of flour underwent the necessary inspection and registration at Rosselkhoznadzor before shipment to foreign contractors. Samples of wheat and rye flour selected from each batch underwent a complex of laboratory tests in the Bashkir testing laboratory, subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.
“The results of the examinations confirmed the compliance of products of plant origin with the requirements of importing countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. During the same period in 2022, enterprises of the republic exported 67 batches of flour abroad with a total weight of 3,160 tons,” the supervisory agency added.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the export of forage grass seeds and leguminous crops from Bashkiria has increased significantly.
