Vladimir Putin named reasons for Russian economic stability

Russian President Vladimir Putin, answering a question about the safety margin of the Russian economy during a direct line, named the reasons for its stability. The first and most important thing is the high consolidation of Russian society, the second is the stability of the country’s financial and economic system, and the third is the increased capabilities of the armed forces.

Vladimir Putin named indicators one can be proud of: expected GDP growth by the end of 2023 is 3.5%, and the inflation rate is 7.5%. Industrial production showed an increase of 3.6%, manufacturing industry - 7.5%, and growth in investment in fixed assets - 10%. According to the data cited by the president, enterprise profits amounted to 24%, real wages increased by 8%, real incomes of the population by 5%, and the unemployment rate was 2.9%.

Let us recall that the leading economic indicators are also growing in Bashkiria, and for some indicators, the republican growth rates are higher than the Russian average. Thus, according to Bashkir Statistical Agency data cited by Bashinform News Agency, in October 2023, the industrial production index in Bashkiria amounted to 113.8% compared to October 2022 and in January-October 2023 – 106.7% compared to the corresponding period last year. Thus, the growth rate was more than double the similar Russian average, amounting to 105.3% and 103.5%, respectively.
