Seed exports from Bashkiria have increased significantly

Over the 11 months of 2023, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria inspected more than 160 batches of forage grass and leguminous seeds shipped for export to the CIS countries, the EAEU, and the European Union. The press service of the supervisory agency reported this.

Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased vetch, mustard, sweet clover, alfalfa, sainfoin, wheat, and barley seeds for sowing. The total volume of exported seed material exceeded 3240 tons. This is almost 2,000 tons more than in the same period in 2022.

“All batches of seeds underwent entomological and herbological studies at the Bashkir testing laboratory. According to the results of phytosanitary examinations, no quarantine organisms were identified. All batches of seeds shipped by road comply with the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries,” emphasized the Rosselkhoznadzor department for Bashkiria.
