Preferential loans worth 24.2 billion rubles were approved for Bashkortostan farmers

Since the beginning of 2023, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has approved more than 700 applications for preferential short-term loans to Bashkortostan farmers totaling 24.2 billion rubles. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic reported this.

“The total limit of funds from the federal budget for implementing the preferential short-term lending mechanism this year is set at 26.7 billion rubles, of which 777.2 million rubles are the share of our republic. Preferential short-term loans have become one of the main tools for replenishing the working capital of agricultural enterprises in the region during the preparation and conduct of seasonal field work,” explained Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

The most significant subsidy volume is preferential crop production lending in Bashkiria - 352 million rubles. 157 million rubles were allocated to small businesses, and 156 million rubles to dairy farming.

The preferential lending program involves agricultural organizations receiving a loan for up to 1 year at a reduced interest rate - from 1% to 5%. Subsidies for compensation from the state are directly sent to banks.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, in 2023, despite challenging weather conditions, the republic fully provided itself with the main types of products. A decent harvest was obtained - 3.3 million tons of grain, 500 thousand tons of oilseeds, and 1.6 million tons of sugar beets. Winter crops have been sowed successfully, and seeds have been planted for next year's harvest. Last year, the leaders in grain collection were the farmers of the Sterlitamak region, who threshed about 200 thousand tons of grain.
